Keeping up with Greg Mortenson

April 9th, 2007

Greg Mortenson Personal Growth:

His life story has been called “one of the most remarkable adventure stories of our time” by Tom Brokaw. Not only has Greg Mortenson’s life been full of adventure, it has also been one of great purpose.  Through his initiative and hard work over 58 schools have been established in Pakistan and Afganistan. While Greg’s life has touched tens of thousands of people around the world, it wasn’t always so inspired.  Just a few years ago when Greg was in his mid-30s he was frustrated and confused.

Join us as Greg shares with Jason C. Steinle how he progressed from a homeless rock climber to the director of the Central Asia Institute.

Jason asks Greg about the events leading up to his decision to build schools and what advice he has for other quarterlifers who feel lost and alone. Greg also talks about his book Three Cups of Tea and the Pennies for Peace project.
